Walk and theatre: A take on Gisla's Saga

The Give Icelandic a Chance events are still in full swing and tomorrow, Tuesday, will see a take on Gislasaga, one of the Icelandic Sagas which partly takes place in Haukadalur by fjord Dýrafjörður. The event is held in collaboration with Kómedíuleikhúsið, the smallest professional theatre group in Iceland.

It starts with a light walk around the stomping ground of Gísli Súrsson and ends at the smallest theatre in Iceland, with refreshments before curtain time of the play about Gísli Súrsson, which is the longest running play of all times.

The walk and the show on Tuesday will be especially adapted to those learning Icelandic, highlighting the main objectives of the Give Icelandic a Chance campaign.

The event is free of charge but registration is required via islenska@uw.is. Cars will leave from the University Centre at 1pm on Tuesday 15 August.
